Front: In Loving Memory of Laura Elizabeth, First Baroness Aberconway of Bodnant, Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Lady of Grace of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. Born May 14, 1854, Died January 4, 1933. A devoted wife and mother. Notwithstanding the great part she took in public affairs as an ardent supporter of the Liberal Party, her untiring work in regard to questions affecting the political and social disabilities of women, and her generous care of the wounded in the Great War, she made Bodnant and its gardens, where she now reposes, her continued care during 37 years. Her love of literature, art, and nature is shown by the creations which survive her.
