Summary
Memorial, with carved relief portrait, to Agnes Heap, Mrs Henry Davis Pochin (d.1908) One of twenty arch-topped niches set into the walls of The Poem. This one inscribed: "Agnes, widow of Henry Davis Pochin" and with oval cameo carving of lady looking to the left.
Marks and inscriptions
Front: Stars silent rest o'er us - graves under us - silent. In Loving Memory of a devoted wife and tender mother Agnes, widow of Henry Davis Pochin Beneath this spot she rests in sleep "That more softly on the spirit lies than tired eyelids upon tired eyes" She lived long years in gentleness and peace pondering "those thoughts that pierce the night like stars and with their mild persistence urge mens' search to vaster issues." She died Feb. 12th 1908, Aged 82
