Summary
Embroidered mat. Fabric, undyed linen plain weave (tabby) with six groups of four double warp forming vertical stripes; embroidery, silk dyed cream, ivory, yellow, dark, mid and pale blue, deep pink and lime green in tampoured or 'ari' chain, later white silk darning; design, characteristic stylised flowers and leaves covering main ground; structure, two selvages, warp cut fringe, hemmed one end.
