Summary
Four-string banjo, stamped 166 on the reverse, with wooden neck and animal hide membrane stretched over metal frame, mother of pearl (?) inlay and animal gut strings (in poor condition). The strings are all broken and one peg is missing. Contained in long, black, fine cotton (?) bag, curved at the end and with a drawstring at the top (string missing).
