Summary
Heavy oak end rail with shaped underside, two (?) bolt holes at each end (only one bolt at each end however), one rebated edge, and an additional small softwood (?) fillet screwed on with central cut-out to hold a central support beam; part of an incomplete mahogany tester bed. Many sections marked in pencil, 'Stamford Gallery bedroom over front door'. This section with 'III' incised at the point at which the rail is bolted to the head/foot posts. Fragment of cream lining material in envelope.
