Summary

Heavy oak (?) side rail with shaped underside, two bolts at each end (one missing) and an additional softwood fillet attached with slat inserts, part of an incomplete mahogany tester bed. Many sections marked in pencil, 'Stamford Gallery bedroom over front door'. Fragment of cream lining material in envelope.

Stamford collection; devised to the National Trust by Roger Grey, 10th Earl of Stamford (1896-1976).
