Summary
Print, engraving (?), Thomas Grey, Lord Grey of Groby (1623-1657) attributed to Robert Walker (c.1600 – London c.1659). Full-length portraits of a gentleman and younger man, the gentleman wearing armour and with his right hand on his helmet. There is evidence that the print was formerly in a different frame with an oval mount. The present frame has a name plate at the bottom indicating that the gentleman is Thomas, Lord Grey of Groby (d. 1657) though the frame has a photograph inventory mark on the reverse. There is a label stuck on the reverse which has H.A.J. Breun, printseller details on it, and has 'Thomas Lord Grey of Groby' handwritten on the label. There is a hanging ring on each side of the back of the frame to hang in portrait view.
