Summary
One of thirteen medium plates from a tea service made by Wedgwood with a 'chequer border' design, with green ring. The set consists of eleven cups (a), eleven saucers (b), twelve small plates (c), thirteen medium plates (d) and twenty-six large plates (e). This medium plate, impressed 'WEDGWOOD', is stamped 'HEAL & SON / TRADEMARK / LONDON, W.' around an image of a four-poster bed. The base also features a black, handpainted number 'A6157'.
