Summary
One of eleven cups from a tea service made by Wedgwood with a 'chequer border' design, with green ring. The set consists of eleven cups (a), eleven saucers (b), twelve small plates (c), thirteen medium plates (d) and twenty-six large plates (e). This cup (cup on far right on digital image), slightly larger and a deeper green than those supplied by Heal & Son, is stamped in black on the underside 'WEDGWOOD / ETRURIA ENGLAND' and also features a handpainted 'A6157 / II'.

Stamford collection; devised to the National Trust by Roger Grey, 10th Earl of Stamford (1896-1976).
