Summary
One of three small oval plates, part of an Indian tree design Crown dinner service by Ashworth's, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, c. 1861-1880, inscribed ' Real Ironstone China' and marked in orange 'B5522'. The set also includes fourteen small dinner plates (q), sixty four large dinner plates (r), a large tureen with lid (a), a tureen with partition, and lid (b), a large tureen with no lid (c), two tureens with lids, the same size as the tureen with partition (d)+(e), a further tureen lid (j), two sauceboat sets consisting of sauceboat, lid and stand (f)+(g), two further sauceboat stands (h), two smaller sauceboat lids (i), a selection of oval plates in various sizes, some with and some without handles (l)-(p), and forty two shallow soup bowls (s).
