Summary
a black enamel on gold mourning ring. Left in Sir Thomas's will (7th Bart) to his half-brother William Troyte of Huntsham. Sold at Christie's June 1978
Provenance
Acquired from the Troyte family . Sir Thomas Dyke Acland 7th left the mourning ring to his step-brother Edward Troyte. Their mother was Cecily Wrothe who married Sir Hugh Acland 6th, she then remarried, following the death of her husband , the family chaplain Rev Troyte.
