Summary
Drawing, The Hon.Frederick Sylvester North Douglas (1791-1819) by Joseph Slater (1782- Brighton 1837). Traveller in Greece; only son of Sylvester Douglas, Baron Glenbervie (1743-1822). He became deputy secretary of the politically ambivalent Grillion's Club. He was elected MP for Banbury 1812-1819. On 19 July 1819 he married Harriet Wrightson and a few months later on the 21 October 1819 he died after a bout of jaundice. From a set of portrait drawings of members of the Grillion Club, London.
