Drawing, The Hon. George Matthew Fortescue (1791-1877) by Joseph Slater (1782- Brighton 1837). The son of Hugh Fortescue, 1st Earl Fortescue. He married Lady Louisa Elizabeth Ryder. He was MP for Hindon and served as an Aide-de-Camp to General Sir George Nugent. Heventually became Commander in Chief, India. From a set of portrait drawings of members of the Grillion Club, London.
