Drawing, pencil and chalk on paper, Robert Arthur Talbot Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury (1830-1903) by George Richmond (1809-1896). Son of Sir James Brownlow William Gascoyne-Cecil, 2nd Marquess of Salisbury and Frances Mary Gascoyne. He married Georgina Alderson, daughter of Sir Edward Alderson, on 11 July 1857. He died on 22 August 1903 at age 73. He held the office of Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury between July 1885 and February 1886.1 He held the office of Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury between August 1886 and August 1892.1 He held the office of Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury between June 1895 and July 1902.
