Hand tinted opalotype photograph on porcelain or milk glass, Canon Alfred Carver by George Glanville. Three-quarter length portrait of a man, seated, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator, his left hand on his knee, his right hand on a table on the left, resting on a book, wearing dark frock-coat, waistcoat and trousers and clerical collar. Julius Drewe's uncle. In leather case.

This item forms part of the original Drewe family collection at Castle Drogo. It was transferred to the National Trust in 2008.
