Summary

Part of a thimble case of Irish bog oak, carved in the form of a cauldron (decorated with shamrocks) suspended from a tripod (now detached) cauldron containing a white earthenware thimble; Tripod.

Provenance

This item forms part of the original Drewe family collection at Castle Drogo. It was transferred to the National Trust in 2008.
