Summary

An elaborately-carved chimney piece. Late sixteenth century. With carved arms of the Order of the Garter.

Provenance

Installed in the late sixteenth century by Benjamin Cooper. The property with its fixtures and fittings was given to the National Trust in 1943 by Miss M.G. Aldred. Now the Elizabethan House Museum, it is let to the Norfolk Museum Service.
