Summary
One of two folded paper maps, Scale: 1.10000, being a secret map in green and brown overwritten in red crayon, relating to the 40th Division Operation Order No.77, for an attack on the La Vacquerie position on the 5th May 1917. Also map T.S.58, the Operation Order and an Addendum No.1.
Provenance
Probably belonged to the Hon. Victor Agar-Robartes, later 8th Viscount Clifden, 1887-1974 and given by the family on transfer of the house to the National Trust in 1953.
Marks and inscriptions
On ap: various markings in red, blue and green crayon and 'Standing / Barrage' and 'ZERO BARRAGE' written in pencil
