Summary
A photograph of the School House, Merafield (Anthony), showing a stone building, part house (two-storey) and part school (one storey) with rustic wooden fence around the front. The schoolroom on the left has a high pitched roof and two arched mullion windows and a high end window. The house on the right has mullion windows on three floors, including two bay windows and a circular attic window. Bell tower. See also 890166.133-4. Provenance
Col. Charles Lygon Somers Cocks was related to the Agar-Robartes through the Carew Pole family. He commissioned George Gilbert Scott to design his house,Treverbyn Vean, St. Neot, and William Burges to design the interiors.
