Summary
A photograph of a village street with two-storey cottages on both sides. Church tower visible on hill above village in centre of photograph. The thatched cottage on the right has wood propped against outside walls, whilst the other cottage has a chair outside the front door. Antony Village, Cornwall. Contained in a very large dark brown leather photograph album with gold tooling on front, back and on spine and 'Charles Lygon-Cocks / Hys / Photographs' in gold on front cover.
Provenance
Col. Charles Lygon Somers Cocks was related to the Agar-Robartes through the Carew Pole family. He commissioned George Gilbert Scott to design his house,Treverbyn Vean, St. Neot, and William Burges to design the interiors.
