Summary
Studio photograph of a boy, Edmund Dickinson, standing beside a circular pedestal table covered with fringed cloth. He stands with his right hand resting on a closed book lying on the table. He is wearing a dark jacket, pale waistcoat and pale trousers which are rather long. Plain background with an arched scenic backdrop on the left of the photograph. A side chair with covered seat is also on the left. patterned carpet and a curtain just visible on the right of the photograph. Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966. The album is thought to have belonged to Mary Dickinson, later Viscountess Clifden, containing family photographs.
