Summary
A studio portrait, three-quarter length, of a young fair haired girl with fringe, the Hon. Mary Vere Agar-Robartes, later the Hon. Mrs. Yarde Buller, 1879-1946, sitting with her hands in her lap. She wears a dress with pleated skirt and tucks down the bodice and a panel of velvet, long sleeves and frill round cuffs and neck. Contained in a faded black leather bound album, embossed in diamond pattern with gold tooling and with brass clasp.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966. The album is thought to have belonged to Mary Dickinson, later Viscountess Clifden, containing family photographs.
