Summary
A studio portrait, three-quarter length, of a girl standing with her hands together wearing a dark high necked dress with white frilled cuffs and at neck, long sleeves, buttons down the front of the bodice and a belt around her waist. Her hair is tied back with a ribbon and she has soft curls around her head. Similar to 890099.14 Contained in a faded black leather bound album, embossed in diamond pattern with gold tooling and with brass clasp.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966. The album is thought to have belonged to Mary Dickinson, later Viscountess Clifden, containing family photographs.
