Summary
A studio portrait, head and shoulders, of a young man, possibly Carey Dickinson, wearing a jacket with collar turned up, over darker buttoned top and a dog collar. His hair is swept back and he has a small moustache and sideburns. Contained in a faded black leather bound album, embossed in diamond pattern with gold tooling and with brass clasp.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966. The album is thought to have belonged to Mary Dickinson, later Viscountess Clifden, containing family photographs.
