Summary
Photograph showing a group of fourteen children and a woman, Mrs. Lee, with William Cole and a pony by the gatehouse of Lanhydrock. The children were evacuees staying at the house during the Second World War. 12 October 1940. The names of the children have been written on the reverse of the photograph. Provenance
Procured for the National Trust archives in 1994. The evacuees came to Lanhydrock during World War II and many returned to visit the house in later years.
