Summary
A black and white photograph photograph, head and shoulders, of the Hon. Thomas Charles Agar-Robartes, later 6th Viscount Clifden (1844-1930). Contained in red leather photograph frame, 882217, together with photograph 889931. See also 882217, 889274 and 890141.4. Two cabinet cards in folding red leather case. (i) is an albumen print on an off white cabinet card. The card is printed in brown ink "Dickinson 114 New Bond Street London". (ii) is a collodion or gelatin P.O.P. mounted on a black cabinet card printed in gold "Lafayette Ltd" "London, Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester and Belfast" on the front. The back is also stamped in gold with details of photographic pages. At the top edge of the reverse of the card is the residue of a strip of paper. - SC 2003.
Provenance
This was a gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, later 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live in the house with his two sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966.
