Summary
A photograph of The Hon. Cecil Agar-Robartes, 1892-1939, and three friends sitting in an open topped car, registration no. [ ]993. He is sitting behind the wheel wearing a trilby and an overcoat, as is his passenger in the front seat, whilst the two young men behind are dressed for cricket, one in striped blazer and cricket pads smoking a pipe, the other wearing flat hat and jacket and carrying a cricket bat. All four young men appear in 889928.3 wearing the same clothes. Behind is a trimmed hedge and tree. Contained in a large red and gold photograph album, inscribed C.E.A-R. 1911-1914.
Provenance
This album belonged to the Hon. Cecil Agar-Robartes, 1892-1939, who was at Magdelene College, Cambridge, 1911-1914. and was given to the National Trust in 1953 by the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, later 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who continued to live at Lanhydrock with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966.
