Summary
A photograph of five young men, members of the Beefsteak Club 1913, in a large room, possibly a hallway as glazed double doors can be seen in the background, full of potted plants. They wear frock coats with pale waistcoats and white stocks/cravats. The two standing are, left to right, Lord Huntington and G.K. Dunning; and seated, left to right, the Hon. C.E. Agar Robartes, Hon. M.T. Boscawen, seated in arm chair with bull's head trophy on table in front of him, and K.S. Gladstone. Contained in a large red and gold photograph album, inscribed C.E.A-R. 1911-1914.
Provenance
This album belonged to the Hon. Cecil Agar-Robartes, 1892-1939, who was at Magdelene College, Cambridge, 1911-1914. and was given to the National Trust in 1953 by the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, later 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who continued to live at Lanhydrock with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966.
