Summary
A photograph of fifteen young men, members of the Athenaeum Club 1913, eleven are wearing caps, three wear boaters and the Hon. Cecil Agar-Robartes, 1892-1939, wears a trilby and buttonhole in his left lapel. Five young men in the front row, including the Hon. Cecil Agar-Robartes, hold walking sticks and a rough-coated dog, possibly a lurcher/terrier, lies at the feet of the young man in the centre. Shrubs and a brick wall with boarding above are behind with a gravel path around the grass. On the opposite page is the title, Athenaeum Club 1913, with a list of the young men. Provenance
This album belonged to the Hon. Cecil Agar-Robartes, 1892-1939, who was at Magdelene College, Cambridge, 1911-1914. and was given to the National Trust in 1953 by the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, later 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, who continued to live at Lanhydrock with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966.
