Summary
Studio photograph, full length, of a fair-haired toddler with fringe, the Hon. Mary Vere Agar-Robartes, later the Hon. Mrs. Yarde-Buller, 1879-1946, in white lace dress with bows at shoulders, sitting with her legs through the back of a wooden chair and holding on with both hands. She wears white socks and button shoes. There is a fur rug on the floor with a square wooden stool on the left and a tasselled cushion on the right. c.1881 One of twelve photographs in folding red and gilt leather frame.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and lived in the house until his death in 1966.
