Summary

Rather faded studio photograph of a bearded man sitting between two young girls. The Hon. Thomas Charles Agar-Robartes is wearing a tweed jacket and waistcoat and striped trousers and sits on a fur rug. To his right is the Hon. Mary Vere Agar-Robartes, later the Hon. Mrs. Yarde Buller, 1879-1946, standing with her right arm on a carved table. She has on a dress with frilled collar and threequarter length sleeves. The Hon. Everilda Agar-Robartes, 1881-1969, is standing on the right of the photograph with her hands on her father's knee, and wears an identical dress to her sister. c.1889 One of twelve photographs in folding red and gilt leather frame.

Provenance

A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and lived in the house until his death in 1966.
