Summary

Rather faded studio photograph of a bearded man standing behind two young girls. The Hon. Thomas Charles Agar-Robartes is wearing a tweed jacket and waistcoat and stands with his right arm on the back of the bench on which the Hon. Mary Vere Agar-Robartes, later the Hon. Mrs. Yarde Buller, 1879-1946, is sitting. She has on a dress with frilled collar and threequarter length sleeves. The Hon. Everilda Agar-Robartes, 1881-1969, is standing on the right of the photograph and wears an identical dress to her sister; she holds a posy of flowers in her right hand. c.1889 One of twelve photographs in folding red and gilt leather frame.

Provenance

A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and lived in the house until his death in 1966.
