Summary
Tinted oval studio photograph, half length, of a fair haired woman, seated, wearing grey dress with white lace collar and cuffs, a pink bow and a brooch at the neck. She is holding a photograph of a woman on her lap. Background of blue sky with clouds. c.1865 In embossed folding maroon leatherette case fastened with two catches, the interior of dark red velvet, the photograph with gilt mount. Impressed on back of case in gold is photographer's name.
Provenance
Possibly a gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
