Summary
An oval studio photograph, half length, of a dark haired young man, his jacket buttoned up at neck, sitting on chair with his left elbow on a table with a top hat upside down beside him. He holds his left hand with his right. c.1860 In folding maroon lethearette case fastened with one clasp, the interior of red velvet, the photograph with gilt mount. Impressed on back of case in gold is photographer's name.
Provenance
Possibly a gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
