Summary
Tinted studio photograph of a boy, the Hon. Alexander Agar-Robartes, on one knee. He is dressed in belted tunic with Roman-type sandals, small wings attached to his back, a quiver with two arrows attached to belt, and he holds a small bow and arrow in his hands. He wears a curly wig with wreath of flowers. c.1910 See also LAN.PH.74 and LAN.PH.254 This photograph if mounted and has gold tape around edge and brass ring on reverse.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953. The quiver, bow and arrows are in the Attic Store, LAN.SR.70-74.
