Summary
Photograph (without frame) of Mary Dickinson, later Viscountess Clifden, 1853-1921, at the wheel of a car, registration number LC2907, outside Wimpole Hall. The Hon. Mary Vere Agar-Robartes, later the Hon. Mrs. Yarde-Buller, 1879-1846, sits beside her. Both wearing large hats. A chauffeur in uniform stands behind the car. Several people, including the Hon. Violet Agar-Robartes, 1888-1965, stand at the top of the entrance steps. c.1910 See also LAN.D.169.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and who continued to live in the house until his death in 1966. He owned Wimpole until the 1930's.
