Studio photograph, full length, of a woman, Mary Dickinson, later Viscountess Clifden, wearing ceremonial robes and coronet, seated in carved wooden arm chair. In her left hand she holds a fan and handkerchief. The chair is on raised carpeted step and her train is spread to one side. Back drop of panelling and grand staircase. c.1890
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953, and remained living in the house until his death in 1966.
