Summary
Formal photograph of a group of men and women, in front of ivy-covered wall at the bottom of steps to Lanhydrock church from the formal garden. The Hon. Thomas Charles Agar-Robartes, later 6th Viscount Clifden, 1844-1930, is standing on far left, Mr. and Mrs. Gladstone are standing on second step and Mary Dickinson, later Viscountess Clifden, is standing third from right. 13 June 1889
Provenance
A gift from Mr. Denis Thorne, 14 July 1977, whose wife was a descendant of Thomas Lang who undertook the building of Lanhydrock after the fire and then built viaducts at Devonport and Calstock. (See letters on file dated 14th and 29th July 1977)
