Summary
Studio photograph of a portrait of William Henry, 4th Earl of Mount Edgcumbe, three-quarter length, by Stanhope Forbes and dated 1873. He is standing, bareheaded, wearing ceremonial uniform and cape with ermine. His left hand rests on the hilt of his sword and his right on his coronet which is on a table. Coat of arms in top left hand corner of picture and above it is written WILLIAM HENRY, FOURTH EARL OF MOUNT EDGCUMBE. The portrait is in an ornate gilt frame. c.1900 The photograph is mounted and signed 'Mount Edgcumbe'

A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
