Summary
Professional photograph of a young boy, the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, later 7th Viscount Clifden, 1883-1966, on shaggy white pony outside large house with mullioned window and window half showing; small rockery between pony and wall. The boy wears a dark cloth cap, light jacket and gaiters over his trousers. He holds a whip in his right hand. Lanhydrock c.1890 See also LAN.D.465 and similar to LAN.PH.5147.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953 and continued to live there with his sisters, Everilda and Violet, until his death in 1966.
