Summary
Photograph of the Hon. Alexander Agar-Robartes, 1895-1930, as a young boy playing cricket on the grass circle outside the front door at Lanyhydrock. He wears a jacket and shorts with dark stockings, a large collar on his shirt and a boater, and is holding a cricket bat in front of three cricket stumps. Behind the stumps is a young man in suit and large straw hat. The front door of the house is open. c.1900 Contained in a photograph album with front and back covers in tan fabric, the spine and corners of dark brown leatherette with gold tooling.
Provenance
From photographs identified this album belonged to a member of the family and was a gift of the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
