Summary
Studio photograph, of a child, Charles Beauchamp Vyvyan, sitting in a padded velvet upholstered chair with fringe. He is wearing a dress, pale ankle socks and dark shoes and has his hands in his lap. On the left of the photograph a carved piece of furniture is just visible standing in front of a dark curtain. 1874. Contained in a photograph album with front cover in leather embossed with diamond design in black with gold decoration, brass bound edges with knob for clip; the spine and back cover are missing.
Provenance
From photographs identified this album belonged to a member of the family and was a gift of the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
