Summary
Studio photograph, full length, of a dark haired young man with moustache and mutton chop whiskers in soldier's uniform. He wears a peaked cap with strap on his chin, a three-quarter length coat with belt and sash across his chest and has a sword tucked under his left arm. He stands, facing left, in front of a carved table and draped curtain behind. Plain background. Contained in a photograph album with front cover in leather embossed with diamond design in black with gold decoration, brass bound edges with knob for clip; the spine and back cover are missing.
Provenance
From photographs identified this album belonged to a member of the family and was a gift of the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
