Summary
Studio photograph of the Hon. Thomas Charles Agar-Robartes, later 6th Viscount Clifden, 1844-1930, as a boy, standing in front of a back drop of a balustrade and pillar. He is wearing a dark open jacket over pale waistcoat and trousers, he holds a top hat in his left hand and his right hand with his thumb in his trouser pocket. c.1858. Contained in a photograph album with front cover in leather embossed with diamond design in black with gold decoration, brass bound edges with knob for clip; the spine and back cover are missing.
Provenance
From photographs identified this album belonged to a member of the family and was a gift of the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
