Summary
Studio photograph, full length, of a woman, Mrs. Wright, in dark crinoline with a brooch on her white collar and a dark cap on the back of her head, standing with her left hand on the back of a high carved velvet upholstered chair. Behind is a panelled wall with mirror and on the floor is a carpet with geometric pattern. c.1862. Contained in a photograph album with front cover in leather embossed with diamond design in black with gold decoration, brass bound edges with knob for clip; the spine and back cover are missing.
Provenance
From photographs identified this album belonged to a member of the family and was a gift of the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
