Summary
Studio photograph of Edmund Dickinson, as a boy, standing beside a pedestal table with fringed cloth. He is wearing a dark open jacket over pale waistcoat and trousers, his right hand resting on a book on the table, his left hand with his thumb in his trouser pocket. Behind the table is a backdrop of vista seen through an arch, a chair with upholstered seat partially visible on left. c.1858. See also 889102.9 and 890104.81. Contained in a photograph album with front cover in leather embossed with diamond design in black with gold decoration, brass bound edges with knob for clip; the spine and back cover are missing.
Provenance
From photographs identified this album belonged to a member of the family and was a gift of the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
