Studio photograph of four young men, the Hon. Thomas Charles Agar-Robartes, later 6th Viscount Clifden, 1844-1930, seated on a chair on the left of a plinth; two others seated on the plinth, the fourth standing on the right leaning on the plinth with a rolled up umbrella in his left hand. c.1865 See also LAN.PH.950, LAN.PH.951 and LAN.PH.952. Contained in a photograph album with front cover in leather embossed with diamond design in black with gold decoration, brass bound edges with knob for clip; the spine and back cover are missing.
Provenance
From photographs identified this album belonged to a member of the family and was a gift of the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
