Summary
Studio photograph, three-quarter length, of a young man wearing a dark suit with matching jacket, waistcoat and trousers, and a dark tie. He holds dark gloves in his hands which rest on his lap and he has a watch chain in his waistcoat. His right leg is crossed over his left and he sits on an upholstered chair, a side table just visible on right of photograph. Plain background. c.1890 Contained in a mid-brown leather photograph album with gold tooled decoration on the spine and brass/gilt decorative corner pieces and clasp which can be tightened.
Provenance
A gift from the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
