Summary
Photograph of formal ranks of youths in large open space being inspected by man in uniform with a feathered hat. All boys are dressed alike with boots, trousers, light coloured shirts with rolled up sleeves, sash/belt and wide-brimmed hats. All carry a rifle resting on the ground by their right side. Trees in background. Contained in a rectangular dark red leather album with gold shield on front and gold letters 'F.G.A.-R./1896-1902'.
Provenance
This album belonged to the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
