Summary
Photograph of the funeral cortege for Queen Victoria at the bottom of the steps leading up to St. George's Chapel, Windsor. Coffin rests on a gun carriage drawn by sailors and is draped with material with crown, sceptre and orb on top. Army and naval dignatories saluting on the right. The steps to the chapel are lined with men saluting and flowers. 2nd February 1901. Contained in a rectangular dark red leather album with gold shield on front and gold letters 'F.G.A.-R./1896-1902
Provenance
This album belonged to the Hon. Gerald Agar-Robartes, 7th Viscount Clifden, who gave Lanhydrock to the National Trust in 1953.
